Who you are:
You are a self-driven professional who collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to dig deep into the topic at hand, be it technical, product, process and/or organizational, and establish a repeatable and sustainable process or methodology for problem solving and continuous improvement. You are an innovative and hands-on technical “Generalist” that is either a domain expert or have working knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: computer networking, security, cloud-based technologies and artificial intelligence. You are comfortable in engaging with customers and partners across the globe to execute upon Extreme’s vision of AI first Extreme Platform ONE that brings secure connectivity to the Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Sr. leadership and Product Line Managers who are driving the Extreme Platform ONE – Networking, Security & AI portfolio
- Drive the experience lifecycle from strategy to planning through to product delivery by mapping key cross-functional dependencies
- Rapid prototyping and market testing of ideas to validate product-market fit
- Work with architecture & engineering, quality assurance, user experience, marketing and product leadership to craft novel approaches to new and current use cases
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation for technical audiences
- Ensure that the product backlog reflects scope and priorities that enable product success and program-wide objectives
- Analyze data (sales, user behavior) for actionable insights
- Understand the Extreme Networks and Extreme Platform ONE Enterprise product portfolio and it’s competitive positioning
- Articulate business value propositions as well as technical details for products and architecture alike
- Define metrics for success and the necessary instrumentation and process to enable data driven decisions at scale
- Leverage expertise to train sales, support and systems engineering and Extreme customers and partners about new products and solutions
- Ensure launch and release readiness with cross-functional organizations
Requirements:
- Experience with cloud, enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN), security and SaaS
- Working knowledge with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications to networking and security; hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies highly desirable
- Strong understanding of modern cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related tools
- Strong zero to one product experience
- 5-10 years of product ownership experience (or related cross-functional experience) in the network or security industry
- BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline
- Business degree or background highly desirable
- Location – West Coast time zone highly desirable
