Senior Product Manager - Hardware
Efficient is developing the world’s most energy-efficient general-purpose computer processor. Efficient’s patented technology uses 100x less energy than state of the art commercially available ultra-low-power processors and is programmable using standard high-level programming languages and AI/ML frameworks. Efficient Computer is seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and drive the future of our high-performance computing product lines. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the strategy and execution of the world’s most efficient computing architecture for the edge, automotive, data center, and beyond.

As a technical PM, you will be at the forefront of market exploration, customer engagement, and product definition — ensuring Efficient’s technology delivers maximum impact for the most demanding computing workloads.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Exploration & Product Strategy
- Conduct continuous market research and competitive analysis across high-performance computing modalities (MCUs, FPGAs, DPUs, CPUs, and ASICs)
- Attend trade shows and industry events to gain insights into emerging trends and build relationships with potential customers
- Define and refine the product vision for high-performance computing solutions, ensuring alignment with market needs and company strategy
- Customer Engagement & Sales Enablement
- Identify and build strong relationships with customers and partners across the industrial edge, automotive, and data center computing ecosystem
- Engage with highly technical stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert in customer and sales meetings, articulating the unique value proposition of Efficient’s architecture
- Technical Execution & Product Development
- Work closely with internal teams—including architecture, hardware, and software—to guide product definition and roadmap execution
- Own specifications for hardware developer kits, boards, and chip capabilities
- Take ownership of cross-team product planning and ensure seamless coordination between engineering, marketing, and business teams
- Constantly question and refine the “why” behind product decisions, ensuring focus on high-impact initiatives
- Scaling the Product Line
- Take full ownership of the high-performance product line’s success, with the intention of growing into a Product Line Manager or General Manager role
- Define and execute the long-term strategy for future generations of our performance product line of chips
- Develop business cases for new product initiatives and communicate them effectively across the company
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in software or hardware product management , technical architecture, or a business-facing technical role
- Strong knowledge of data center computing architectures , including FPGAs, DPUs, CPUs, and ASICs
- Deep technical understanding of hardware design tradeoffs, compute efficiency, and system-level integration
- Ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives with minimal oversight in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Exceptional communication skills—succinct, direct, and highly effective at engaging both technical and business audiences
- Proven track record of customer engagement, from technical sales meetings to user research and feedback integration
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to drive high-level product decisions
- Willingness to travel for trade shows and customer meetings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience leading product development for data center chips, DPUs, FPGAs, or AI accelerators
- Experience working with cloud providers, hyperscalers, or enterprise hardware vendors
- Prior ownership of an end-to-end product lifecycle, from market analysis to customer adoption
- Experience with business case development and ability to influence executive decision-making
We offer a competitive salary for this role, generally ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, along with meaningful equity and comprehensive benefits. The final compensation package will be based on your experience and location, with some flexibility to ensure we align with the right candidate.
