Babysitter

We are seeking a responsible, nurturing, and creative babysitter to assist in caring for a 4-year-old and a 17-month-old. The ideal candidate will focus on engaging the older child with educational and play-based activities while supporting basic care routines for both children. Key Responsibilities 1. Supervise and Engage the 4-Year-Old: * Facilitate car-themed educational and play activities (e.g., building tracks, drawing, storytelling). * Help with independent and imaginative play. * Read books and assist with simple creative projects (e.g., coloring or crafts). 2. Assist with the Baby's Routine: * Help with feeding, diaper changes, and nap times. * Provide attentive care during play and monitor safety at all times. 3. Coordinate Shared Activities: * Plan and facilitate activities that involve both children, such as storytelling or sibling bonding time. 4. Support Outdoor Play and Physical Activity: * Take the children for walks or outdoor play (e.g., bike riding or simple obstacle courses for the older child). * Supervise and engage them in age-appropriate physical activities. 5. Maintain Daily Schedules: * Follow the family's daily routine for meals, naps, and activities. * Ensure the older child's learning schedule is followed (e.g., creative and STEM-based activities). 6. Encourage Responsibility and Independence: * Guide the older child in tidying up toys and assisting with simple tasks. * Encourage good hygiene practices (e.g., washing hands before meals). 7. Light Household Support (Optional): * Tidy up after children's activities and meals. * Assist with preparing snacks or meals for the children if needed. Requirements * Previous experience caring for young children (including toddlers). * Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging in learning activities, especially for a 4-year-old's interests. * Ability to manage two children simultaneously while prioritizing safety. * Patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills. * Basic knowledge of child development or willingness to learn. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with educational or STEM-focused activities for young children. * Knowledge of car-related activities or an interest in incorporating a child's passions into play. * CPR and first aid certification (strongly preferred). Working Hours * Saturday to Wednesday from 9:00Am to 5:00pm Compensation * 4/hr.
