Lease Accounting Specialist
: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for performing basic accounting activities including account analysis and responding to and resolving inquiries from internal and external customers. KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning payments and receipts related to leases and franchise agreements. Reviews monthly statements and invoices from property owners related to common area maintenance and ensures timely communication to appropriate persons. Investigates any discrepancies in a timely manner. Provides reliable professional verbal and written correspondence; works collaboratively with internal/external partners. Coordinates weekly processing of rent related payments and receipts using the Lucernex lease management system. Collaborates with team members, business partners, and vendors to build strong relationships and serve as a trusted and reliable resource partner and to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met. Updates and maintains department procedures. Participates in special projects and ad-hoc requests as assigned and directed. Performs other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed. QUALIFICATIONS: Education - High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required; some post-secondary accounting coursework preferred. Experience - 2+ years related experience in an accounting/finance environment. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Good oral and written English communication skills and interpersonal skills. General knowledge of personal computers and software applications (Word, Excel, etc.). General knowledge of account/finance and leases. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior. Ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a professional and positive attitude. Physical Requirements - Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone, ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to operate a 10-key by touch. If the candidate is hired in a different city to work remote, we will apply a geographic pay differential based on the cost of labor in the market in which the employee resides.
