Shop Helper
Shop Helper 1st Shift
We are looking for a Shop Helper for a High volume steel fabrication welding construction company with experience in Construction, fabrication shops, welding or metal manufacturing. Welding shop experience is a plus.
Description:
- Assist welders and fabricators with daily shop tasks, including metal preparation, grinding, loading, and unloading.
- Safely operate grinders and basic hand tools to support fabrication projects.
- Perform general shop duties and miscellaneous tasks as needed to maintain workflow.
- Opportunity to learn and develop skills in welding and metal fabrication.
- Candidate MUST have a valid Driver's License.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and grinders
- Ability to follow directions and support skilled welders and fabricators
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload materials
- Attention to detail when preparing and cleaning metal surfaces
- Willingness to perform general labor and miscellaneous shop tasks
- Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment
