SFW - Cash Control

Job Description and Duties

Under general direction of the Cash Control Manager, incumbents in this position are responsible for supporting the operational cash needs of various events at Cal Expo. Incumbents perform the most sensitive and complex duties in the areas of communication with Cal Expo Police, reporting and record keeping, vault balancing, change fund preparation, settle-ups, movement of cash, problem resolution, and other related cash handling duties as needed.

Working Conditions

• Periodic overtime
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and crouching
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures, vehicle exhaust, airborne dust, fumes, vapors, chemicals, medical waste and blood borne pathogens

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.

• Participation in DMV Pull Notice Program
• Maintain a valid California Drivers License
• Must complete fingerprints through Live Scan
• Applicants must be 18 years of age to be considered or 17 years of age and graduated from high school

• Cash handling and deposit preparation experience
• Experience working with cash in an event setting or similar setting
• Exceptional attendance, punctuality and dependability, demonstrating reliability in daily tasks and responsibilities
• A strong work ethics and positive attitude, contributing to a productive team environment
