Job Description and Duties

Will Consider Staff Services Analyst.

The incumbent is responsible for working collaboratively with District and Headquarters Telework Program staff, and provides a wide range of support for the District Telework Program; Incumbent is responsible to track, monitor, coordinate, and provide guidance and direction to management and staff regarding Telework Program roles, responsibilities, reports, and compliance; Incumbent is responsible for maintaining the District 4 Telework database; tracks, monitors, and provides reporting information to upper level management; Leads and coordinates the Annual Telework Renewal Process; Leads and coordinates the emergency Telework Agreement enrollment processes as required for critical incidents; Responds to inquiries and provides updates, information, and direction regarding proper completion and revision of Telework Agreements; Reviews and monitors Telework policies, directives, and processes, and implements changes to maintain departmental compliance accordingly. Attends meetings and represents the District as required; Assists with projects as assigned by management


Serves as the District resource and coordinator for State Service Awards and Recognitions; Provides direction and assistance to programs and divisions to coordinate timely completion and delivery of 25-year, 40-year, and retirement gifts and acknowledgments.

Working Conditions

Position located at 111 Grand Avenue, Oakland, Alameda County

Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
