Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties
• Monitor news wires, social media, scanners, and other sources for breaking news and developing stories.
• Communicate with reporters, photographers, and other resources to cover stories effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate with producers and the news team to develop story ideas and plan coverage.
• Serve as the central point of contact for all newsroom operations, ensuring clear and timely communication between reporters, producers, and other staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with community contacts, public information officers, and other news sources. Coordinate the logistics of news coverage, including scheduling and deploying field crews.
Ensure that all necessary equipment and resources are available and functioning for news coverage.
Responsibilities
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a newsroom environment, preferably in a similar role.
Strong understanding of news gathering and newsroom operations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in using newsroom computer systems and software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
