Application Analyst (Computrition)

Responsibilities

The Application Analyst – Computrition is responsible for the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of the Computrition Foodservice Management System. This role partners closely with Nutrition Services, Clinical Nutrition, Nursing, and Information Technology teams to ensure accurate diet order processing, menu management, patient tray delivery workflows, and system integrations with the Electronic Health Record like Epic and Meditech. The analyst ensures system reliability, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and operational efficiency across inpatient and retail foodservice operations. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight, especially on critical matters. The role frequently involves exercising discretion and independent judgment, evaluating different options, and making informed decisions. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Nutrition, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare applications.
3. Experience with Computrition, CBOARD or other foodservice management systems.
4. Understanding hospital foodservice operations and therapeutic diets.
5. Experience with healthcare interfaces (HL7) and EHR integrations.
6. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
7. Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
8. Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Experience supporting multi-site hospital environments.
2. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (Joint Commission, CMS).
3. Experience with reporting tools (SQL, Crystal Reports).
4. Prior healthcare IT implementation or go-live experience.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $70,304.00 to $87,360.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
