Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the San Marcos Field Office in San Marcos.

Want to get started in state service? Motor Vehicle Representative is an entry-level position to state service. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic candidates who are experienced in delivering stellar face-to-face customer service with a positive, can-do attitude for a fast-paced public contact position. The duties of the position include: cashiering, data entry, the ability to provide verbal, written, and technical assistance pertaining to the licensing of drivers, issuance of identification cards, vehicle registration, and occupational licenses, in a courteous and efficient manner. Dependability and punctuality are essential.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Salaries are non-negotiable and are subject to the California Department of Human Resources salary rules. Working Conditions

This position is Intermittent. Scheduled work hours will vary and subject to a maximum of 1500 hours per fiscal year. The 1500-hour maximum may be exceeded subject to approval due to changes in workload.

Works in an office setting at a public counter. Enters information into a computer. May sit or stand for extended periods of time.
