Prosperous Medical
Prosperous Medical serves as the integrated medical and clinical services division of Prosperous Health.

Position Summary
The Clinical Director provides overall clinical leadership, oversight, and supervision for all behavioral health treatment services within Prosperous Health. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care across outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) levels of care.
The Clinical Director works closely with executive leadership, Program Directors, and clinical staff to ensure clinical integrity, regulatory compliance, staff development, and optimal client outcomes. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and maintaining the organizations clinical standards and treatment philosophy.
The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician and leader with strong supervisory skills, deep knowledge of behavioral health treatment, and a passion for improving client care systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Oversight
- Provide clinical oversight for all treatment programs and services
- Ensure delivery of evidence-based, client-centered care across all levels of service
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and clinical supervisors
- Review and approve treatment plans, clinical documentation, and care decisions as needed
- Lead clinical case consultations, treatment team meetings, and multidisciplinary reviews
- Ensure appropriate levels of care and continuity of services for all clients
Quality of Care & Clinical Standards
- Establish and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and best practices
- Monitor clinical outcomes, quality indicators, and performance metrics
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance treatment effectiveness
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards and professional guidelines
- Oversee clinical training, supervision, and ongoing staff development
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews
- Implement corrective action plans when clinical or compliance issues arise
- Ensure documentation meets all regulatory and clinical standards
Staff Supervision & Development
- Provide direct supervision to clinical supervisors and senior clinicians
- Support hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and retention of clinical staff
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence
- Provide ongoing clinical supervision and professional development
- Address performance concerns and support staff growth and competency development
Collaboration & Program Support
- Collaborate with executive leadership and Program Directors on organizational strategy
- Partner with admissions, operations, and utilization review teams to support client care flow
- Coordinate with external providers, hospitals, and referral sources as needed
- Contribute to program development, expansion, and service improvement initiatives
- Support interdisciplinary communication and care coordination across departments
Qualifications
Required
- Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active California clinical license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health settings
- At least 23 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in outpatient, IOP, PHP, or residential treatment environments
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and clinical treatment models
- Deep understanding of HIPAA, regulatory compliance, and licensing standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills
Preferred
- Prior experience as a Clinical Director or senior clinical leadership role
- Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder treatment
- Knowledge of Joint Commission or other accreditation standards
- Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Training in clinical supervision and program development
