Senior Frontend Engineer - Access Control

Responsibilities

• Build frontend experiences for Verkada’s cloud-managed access control product.
• Develop interfaces that let users manage doors, schedules, and user credentials from laptops or phones.
• Take loosely defined product ideas through completion with ownership and autonomy.
• Deliver best-in-class product experiences with strong attention to design, product details, and polish.
• Collaborate with firmware, backend, and frontend engineers on the access control product line.

Requirements

• 7+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• Mastery of JavaScript, including scoping, closures, contexts, prototypes, and classes.
• Expertise using React.
• Strong architectural understanding of custom components, custom UI, and cross-browser support.
• Understanding of and practical debugging techniques.
• Working knowledge of at least one server-side framework and one database system.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite five days per week.
• Self-motivated problem-solving ability and readiness to take technical ownership of major systems.
