Director of Client Services
Achievement House is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities in San Luis Obispo County. Since 1957, Achievement House has been a leader in fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth through vocational training, education, adaptive living skills, advocacy, and community living services. As the Director of Client Services, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing and enhancing vocational and community-based day training programs, employment placement services, and related contracts. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and case management for vocational and community-based day training programs and employment placement services.
- Supervise, mentor, and support program staff, including involvement in hiring, training, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and accreditation standards (including CARF, CCL, DOL, Regional Center, Department of Developmental Services, and Department of Rehabilitation).
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program designs and vocational services to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with financial services to ensure accurate billing for vocational clients and contracts.
- Develop and implement marketing and public relations plans for vocational services.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including satisfaction surveys and service evaluations.
- Support staff in client training and the implementation of individualized service plans using person-centered planning approaches.
- Assist with client screening, intake, and maintenance of accurate client records and documentation.
- Maintain positive communication with funding agencies, schools, families, and service providers.
- Promote and protect the rights of individuals served, ensuring their needs and preferences are prioritized.
- Ensure all program sites and contracts operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree with approval.
- Experience in case management within a human service delivery agency.
- Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations and the vocational rehabilitation system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Valid California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance; driving is an essential function of this position.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by law.
- Proficiency in computer and technology use.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, speak clearly, see, hear, and perform manual tasks; ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility and willingness to assist where needed while helping to develop employment opportunities and new work contacts.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.
Compensation
Annual salary: $70,304 .
A $250 sign-on bonus is currently being offered.
