Dispatcher
Join a dynamic team in a fast-paced office environment as a Dispatcher, where you will play a key role in ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service. This full-time, in-office position is responsible for coordinating drivers, managing work orders, and supporting communication between staff and customers. Responsibilities
- Schedule drivers and routes to meet customer needs and maximize productivity.
- Prepare route sheets, work orders, and maps for drivers.
- Monitor two-way radio communications and check in with drivers to verify work completion and accuracy.
- Assist in communication with contracted city officials as needed.
- Enter tickets, data, and record statistics and driver performance.
- Answer and process incoming customer calls and handle customer service overflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatch role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of greater Sacramento highways, roads, and geography.
- Ability to manage information quickly and provide clear directions using two-way radios.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and act independently.
Compensation
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour , based on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. Schedule to be determined within operating hours of Monday – Friday, 3am - 1pm with rotating Saturdays. Must be able to work through hoildays.
