Job Title: Restaurant Server

Reports To: Outlet Manager/Assistant Outlet Manager/ Dir. F&B

SUMMARY:

Service of food and beverages to Restaurant area in order to maximize guest satisfaction and enhance a pleasant dining experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains the level of service standards and adhere to these as establish by the Company.
  • Greet and seat guest in a professional, courteous and friendly manner whenever the Greeter is unable to do it.
  • Ensure correct order taking from the guest(s)
  • Receive payment for all items served
  • Properly account for serve by following all established bookkeeping policies and procedures
  • Suggest sell special and/or featured items, thus increasing the average check
  • Ensure timely and correct delivery or ordered items
  • Handle all guest complaints immediately, inform Supervisor and/or Manager when necessary
  • Communicate any guest dissatisfaction or discrepancies to management as soon as received.
  • Thank guest upon departure and invite them to return
  • Perform side-work as assigned
  • Maintain stations in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Assist other colleagues, including bus person if needed
  • Ensures that the overall condition of dining room is always refreshed and rectify when needed.
  • Ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations and procedures. Must be Safe Serve Certified.
  • Attend training classes when schedule.
  • Adhere to all request/directions made by guests and management.
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of personal appearance, hygiene and grooming.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Have strong customer service skills, to work as part of a team.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to clearly and precisely relay information about, menu, food, beverage, hotel and outlets to guests in English, both written and verbal form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplies and divides. Be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk and hear. The colleague frequently is required to stand up to 4 hours, walk, and sit. The colleague is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, perform repetitive motions, bending, and climbing. Occasional pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and crawling. May lift or move up to 10-15 pounds on a daily basis and occasionally lift and/or move up to up to 30 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes hectic.
