We’re looking for a dedicated and hardworking Porter to join our team at Sushi Nakazawa Los Angeles in the heart of the SoRo Village. This behind-the-scenes role is essential to the success of our kitchen and service teams, ensuring every part of the restaurant remains clean, organized, and prepared for service.

Position: Porter

Pay Range: $17.81- $20 (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)
Location: 145 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048

What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish areas, walk-ins, storage areas, and FOH support spaces
• Clean dishware, cookware, utensils, and equipment while minimizing breakage
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and surfaces throughout the shift
• Empty trash, recycling, and cardboard; ensure proper disposal and organization
• Operate dish machine safely and follow chemical usage procedures
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, stocking, and organizing deliveries
• Support BOH and FOH teams to ensure readiness for service
• Complete opening and closing duties using Company checklists

What You’ll Bring

• Previous porter/dishwasher experience in fine dining or a similar hospitality environment
• Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and detail
• Ability to follow sanitation standards and chemical safety procedures
• Reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude
• Ability to lift up to 30+ lbs and stand for extended periods
• Schedule flexibility, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
