The HR Generalist is responsible for attracting, selecting, and retaining talent. This role is key to strengthening the organizational culture by fostering inclusion and respect within our multicultural community of educators, staff, and students. Additionally, the HR Generalist supports the improvement of the work environment and develops training programs to manage the full employee lifecycle.
Functions and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
Define and execute recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
Publish job postings across various platforms (job boards, social media, etc.).
Screen résumés, conduct initial interviews, and perform skills assessments.
Coordinate and follow up on interviews with department leaders.
Manage onboarding and integration processes to ensure a positive new hire experience.
Maintain an updated candidate database and develop a talent pool for future roles.
Culture & Organizational Climate
Support management in the implementation of initiatives that reinforce the school’s mission, values, and culture.
Participate in planning and organizing events and activities that promote staff integration and well-being.
Collaborate in conducting and analyzing employee engagement and climate surveys, proposing action plans for improvement.
Support internal HR communications strategy using the school’s available tools.
Performance Management
Provide support and follow-up on the annual performance evaluation process.
Offer guidance to leaders and employees to ensure proper application of the process.
Collect and analyze evaluation results to identify strengths, improvement opportunities, and training needs.
Assist managers in creating individualized development plans.
Training & Development
Identify training needs in collaboration with area leaders and HR management.
Support the design and implementation of training programs focused on technical and soft skills.
Coordinate logistics for workshops, courses, and seminars.
Research online training aligned with the institutional budget to close identified skills gaps.
Support the planning and execution of staff orientation sessions (new and returning staff) at the beginning of the school year.
Strategic Planning & Policies
Assist in updating institutional policies that establish expected employee behavior, ensuring legal compliance.
Support the implementation of initiatives related to work-life balance.
Collaborate in medium- and long-term workforce planning to meet organizational needs.
Provide support in change management and transitions related to the new campus.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years in Human Resources Generalist roles. Proven experience in international recruitment is essential.
Languages: Advanced Spanish and English (oral and written).
