Job Title: Wound Care Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years hospital experience required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, Wound Care Certification or WOCN preferred Must-Have: Must have wound care specific experience and wound vac experience. Must have WOCN or wound care certification. Description: Wound Care Registered Nurse position available. The position requires a block schedule for Thursday to Saturday, with flexibility options for Monday to Saturday. No Sunday scheduling requests will be accepted. All required skills must be demonstrated. If a strong candidate is identified, a screening call may be conducted. Experience with Epic charting system is highly preferred. Two years of hospital experience is mandatory. A first-time traveler must have a minimum of 5 years of experience. Locals are welcome, and wound care RNs are encouraged to apply. No on-call requirements are needed for this role. Candidates must include their requested time off (RTO) at the time of submission. Wound Care Registered Nurse responsibilities include assessing and managing surgical, chronic, or trauma wounds. The position involves working with a daily census of up to 10 adult and geriatric patients. Wound Care Nurses are expected to perform patient assessments, provide wound management, and educate patients and families about care practices. The ideal candidate will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and demonstrate strong communication skills. Floating between facilities will be required for travelers. Candidates must have the ability to perform various wound care techniques including debridement and dressing changes. A commitment to high standards of patient care is essential. Candidates should be prepared to work three holidays during the assignment.
