Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Fall River Mills, California 96028 (Shasta County)
• Assignment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and home care
• Start Date: August 4, 2025
• End Date: November 3, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Rotating schedule: Mon–Thu 10-hour days with call on Fri, Sat & Sun, then switch to nights Mon–Thu 10-hour days with Fri, Sat & Sun off, and repeat
• Hours per Week: 40 (Guaranteed 36 hours)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500–$2560 per week

Registered Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); new graduates with strong recommendations considered
• Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Care
• Active California Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Cardiopulmonary certification required
• Must obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire
• OSHA Respirator Fit Testing certification within 3 months of hire
• Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care, assessment, and therapy as directed by physicians
• Independently perform procedures including intubations, cesarean sections, aerosol delivery, and patient assessment/care planning
• Provide respiratory therapy in inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and home care settings
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with hospital and healthcare standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and demonstrate professional conduct
• Participate in continuing education, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Exhibit flexibility, integrity, and a positive attitude with patients, families, and staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned
