Human Resources & Procurement Location Los Angeles, CA : Function: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR/Procurement Staff to support both Human Resources operations and Procurement processes with a focus on Procurement protocols. This role will serve as a key control point in the procurement workflow, ensuring transparency, compliance, and cost-effective purchasing, while also supporting HR tasks as assigned by the HR Manager. Essential Duties and Competencies: Procurement (SOD/Purchasing Control Focus) - Serve as the control point for purchase requisitions and procurement processes in compliance with SOD principles. Review and process purchase requests, ensuring accuracy, appropriate approvals, and policy compliance. Collaborate with internal departments to verify specifications, budget availability, and vendor selection. Maintain and update procurement records and vendor files. Support audits and internal reviews by providing documentation related to purchasing activities. Monitor purchasing activity for compliance with internal controls and escalate issues as needed. Human Resources - Assist in the execution of HR initiatives and tasks as delegated by the HR Manager (e.g.,). Education/Experience: Associate Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in procurement, HR, or administrative roles. Certificate(s): Human Resources or PHR certification preferred. Job Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Familiar with the latest HR guidelines and laws Able to cope with differing viewpoints and function well under pressure Demonstrate discretion, integrity, fair-mindedness with sensitivity to and maintenance of confidential information Self-starter who works independently with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Communicate employment information and decisions as needed to relevant personnel Strong understanding of procurement controls, especially around segregation of duties. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. Ability to handle sensitive HR information with discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP procurement systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Experience with procurement in a controlled environment (audit or finance-heavy settings). Familiarity with HRIS systems or digital HR platforms. Prior experience in a dual-role (HR/Admin and Procurement) capacity Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
