Position Summary:

• Work Schedule: Monday-Friday core hours 8am-4:30pm
• 100% on-site (San Diego)

The Label Specialist I provides support to the Operations Project Management and Pre-Production Teams and our customers by printing and inspecting labels for use in clinical packaging and distribution. Responsibilities are carried out in compliance with regulatory requirements Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The Role:

• Maintain manage and request logbooks accurately for the purpose of inspecting labels in label control
• Documentation and paperwork management. Complete and understand all paperwork that is used for the creation and inspection of labels. Inspecting English Text Foreign Text Multiple panel and commercial labels for accuracy
• Understand review and approve the accuracy of randomization logs that are prepared. Understanding of blinding requirements and how to inspect labels for accurately blinding a label
• Maintain manage and request logbooks accurately for the purpose of printing labels in label control. Awareness of the difference in space and equipment logbooks
• Ability to calibrate and adjust printer settings. Must be able to correctly set up and use the Printronix printers or equivalent printers
• Clean and maintain Printronix printer or equivalent printers per SOP. Understanding of printer ribbons and which ribbon is used for which purpose
• Printing job runs verifying barcodes and the knowledge to generate re-prints and paperwork required
• Other duties as assigned

The Candidate:

• High School Diploma/GED is required Associates/Bachelors preferred
• No prior work experience is required in clinical labeling or pharmaceutical operations but it is highly preferred to have three (3) years of experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers customers and other personnel. Demonstrated ability to read write and speak clear English
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook Word PowerPoint Excel) ComplianceWire TrackWise EDMS JD Edwards etc.
• Blend knowledge and analysis with logic active listening and a continuing interest in simplification. Act ethically. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
• Physical requirements: Frequent sitting standing walking climbing ladders/steps reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen reaching with hands and arms stooping kneeling crouching talking bending grasping listening

Pay:

• The anticipated salary range for this role in San Diego CA is $50000 to $52000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job type and length of experience within the industry skillset education business needs etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
