System Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in San Jose, CA(Remote). The candidate must have senior-level expertise in SAP Basis administration with strong hands-on proficiency across S/4HANA, HANA, BTP, system upgrades, migrations, and cloud environments.

Rate Range: $51/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Oversees end‑to‑end SAP Basis operations including system installations, configurations, upgrades, and OS/DB migrations across S/4HANA and HANA environments.

• Leads SAP landscape architecture efforts, driving RISE/S/4 transformation activities and ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.

• Manages transport administration, system refreshes, client copies, and performance tuning using SQL traces and diagnostic tools.

• Executes high-availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for HANA systems to ensure business continuity.

• Implements automation solutions for routine Basis tasks using scripting and development approaches to enhance operational efficiency.

• Handles incident management by performing root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting OS‑level and application‑level issues, and preparing operational documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience as an SAP Basis / HANA Administrator.

• Expertise in S/4HANA, HANA, SAP BTP, system upgrades, migrations, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

• Proven experience leading SAP Basis teams and managing end‑to‑end SAP landscape architecture, including RISE/S/4 transformation projects.

Pay Details: $51.00 to $53.00 per hour
