This is an exceptional and transformative opportunity to join the team at the Ontario Airport Hotel and Conference Center as we embark on a monumental journey! Under new ownership, our 309-room property is undergoing complete top-to-bottom renovation and an exciting rebranding to an upscale hotel brand.
The Ontario Airport Hotel & Conference Center is looking for a Cook, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to hotel standards, ensuring high-quality food service for guests. The role includes maintaining cleanliness, following safety regulations, and collaborating with the kitchen team to deliver excellent culinary experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, season, and cook menu items including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
- Adjust seasoning and ingredients as needed to enhance flavor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
- Ensure food is stored properly and inventory is managed efficiently.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work with chefs, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to fulfill guest requests.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (local, state, and federal).
Availability: The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands
