Position Overview
The Vice President of Inside Sales will be accountable for sales results and be responsible for executing detailed sales plans to drive the company’s growth and revenue projections. If accepted, you will oversee the hiring, training and development of a world-class sales organization.
We are looking for an experienced leader to lead our sales team (and Sales Managers) to the next level. The position initially revolves around hiring, training and developing an inside sales team. This sales organization is split into 3 departments: Inside Sales with high sales velocity (2 managers & 22 sales reps), Strategic Sales focused on SMB segment (1 manager & 4 sales reps) and Account Sales nurturing existing client accounts for expansion revenue (1 manager & 5 sales reps).
The successful VP will lead and mentor the existing management team as well as develop the sales team and identify and develop future managers, primarily from within. The VP of Inside Sales will provide extensive 1 on 1 support to the sales team and Sales Managers through workshops, meetings, and personal coaching.
Position Responsibilities
- Exceed Doctible’s sales goals
- Oversee the sales team hiring, training and development programs
- Develop and mentor the current and future sales manager team
- Propagate the core values of the company / Protect and drive the culture and mindset of the organization
- Conduct weekly 1 on 1 personal coaching sessions with each manager
- Administer accountability programs throughout the sales organization
- Drive performance through daily coaching and motivating of sales reps and managers
- Run sales meetings and workshops
- Maximize client value through upsell and add on sales programs
- Develop new sales initiatives through dedicated sales research and development programs
- Continually refine and improve all sales system and programs
- Develop sales leaders and key staff
- All the responsibility you can handle
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of direct experience in inside sales managing a team of sales managers/directors and sales reps (This is a must so please make sure to highlight this if applying for this position)
- Successful track record of building and managing inside sales teams in an B2B SaaS environment (startup experience preferred).
- Track record of developing sales managers (detailed references will be required with at least 5 previous sales managers that you developed/worked with for at least a year)
- Extensive experience in hiring and training inside sales reps (detailed references will be required with at least 10 previous sales reps that you developed in an inside sales environment)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Not afraid to roll up the sleeves and be able to work at the 1 foot level. We still operate in a startup mentality.
- Expertise in sales training is expected
- This position will be based out of San Diego, CA
