Loan Consultant
:
We have an opening for a career-minded individual to join our Credit 9 team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous loan officer and customer service experience looking to grow their career in a role where compensation is closely tied to performance. The Loan Consultant reports to the Team Lead and is responsible for assisting eligible loan candidates through the loan origination process while meeting company funding and conversion goals.
This role is open to candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine, CA, office. This role is non-exempt hourly and pays $19.00 an hour, plus bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Field inbound calls from prospective borrowers seeking a debt consolidation loan to transition into their line of credit.
- Initial contact with clients who now have reached the next phase of their program (in the line of credit) and explain the process /terms in detail.
- Provide loan consultations to potential borrowers from business affiliates.
- Obtain required loan documentation in accordance with Underwriting Guidelines.
- Review income, assets, and credit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate credit decisions and loan terms to applicants.
- Work closely with Processors, loan payment department, and other departments as needed.
- Effectively manage a pipeline of loan leads and applicants to meet production goals.
- Ability to resolve customer service challenges and concerns.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of originating loans (personal, mortgage, or student etc.)
- 1+ years of processing loans.
- 1+ year of Customer Service experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Ability to effectively work in a large team environment.
- Ability to successfully work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate all aspects of the loan origination process effectively and concisely to loan applicants, team members, and external partners.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Passionate about helping customers achieve their financial goals.
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to apply policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
- Self-motivated desire to succeed with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals.
Education:
- High School or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
