TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in San Diego, California, 92121!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Clienttion Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: - 1 year of pediatric hematology/oncology inpatient or outpatient experience - 4 years as a registered nurse License: - California RN license required Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - PALS (AHA) - APHON preferred - CPHON or CPON preferred Must-Have: - Central line and IV start experience - Experience in radiation therapy and/or sedation Description: This position involves caring for pediatric patients with various oncology diagnoses. Patient diagnoses include brain tumors, Ewings Sarcoma, Rhabdomyosarcoma, and lymphomas. The patient population varies from 15 to 25 pediatric patients per day. You will be involved in Blood and Marrow Transplantation services. Responsibilities include IV starts, port-a-cath accessing, imaging, and radiation treatment under general anesthesia. You will perform pre-procedure check-in and PACU recovery. Central line maintenance and medication administration will also be required. This role is within a recognized children's hospital with a commitment to excellence in patient care.
