Scope Of Position

The Plant FinancialAnalyst position functions as a business support person to the plant and financial management team.The role is instrumental in bringing analytical analyses to leadership team to enable decisions that directly impact business performance and outcomes.The position supports month-end close and special projects as requested, and works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost divers and variances.You will provide accounting support through review and validation of material transactions and processes to increase the accuracy of our financial statements. JBS Prepared Foods offers opportunities to identify, lead, and drive process improvements, while working in a team environment and interact with multiple functions across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures.
  • SupportPlant Controller’s efforts for implementing and maintaining internal controls.
  • Analyze financial performance andcreate action plans for unfavorable gaps.
  • Prepare and process assigned daily/monthly journal entries.
  • Establishprocessesto reduceproductioncosts.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators
  • Supportthe local plant budgeting process ofthefixed and variableexpenses.
  • Prepares, reports actual vs. budget results on monthly and quarterly presentations.
  • Maintains the packaging standards costing files and tracks daily performances of packaging to earned standards.

Skills AndQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldrequired
  • 3+ years of directly related experience required
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail is crucial for this role
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • SAP experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Action orientedwith ability to multi-task
  • Team player with a positive, cando attitude and agility tomultiple work streams
  • An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment

This role is based in a processing facility and individuals in this role are expected to spend time on the plant floor.While at the facility, employee will be subject to extreme temperatures, humid/wet environments and other hazards common to a food manufacturing facility

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k):company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salaryrange of $70K-$80K
  • Incentive Pay:This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
