Maintenance Technician ($27.50)

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician performs as a generalist within the Maintenance Department and ensures that the center is maintained in accordance with the standards defined by Management. Delivers the highest possible customer service based on established NPS goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs periodic and preventive maintenance on the centers equipment and systems. (Fountains, roofs, aerial lifts, etc.)
• Repairs and maintains center amenities (i.e., chairs, tables, fountains, ash and trash cans, etc.)
• Operates equipment such as pumps, motors, power tools, volt-amp meter, service gauges, and smaller electrical distribution equipment, switch gear and others.
• Identifies, troubleshoots and corrects problems with the building or equipment.
• Completes center based work orders and direct requests by supervisor.
• Adheres to preventive maintenance schedules.
• Adheres to environmental and worker safety regulations (hazardous materials, hazardous waste, CFC, etc.)
• Changes filters and belts on HVAC systems (Site specific)
• Supports the daily maintenance of other areas of the center (i.e., Marketing, Specialty Retail, Security, etc.)
• Assists Management in the set-up and implementation of Marketing events in the center as requested.
• Promotes and maintains positive tenant relations.
• Performs other duties or projects as requested.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3-5 years of skilled trade experience
• Technical degree or education preferred.
• Working knowledge of maintenance tools (plumbing snakes, saws, drills, hand tools, etc.)
• Working understanding of basic electrical and plumbing components.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of operating electric carts, fork lift, aerial lifts.
• Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)

Compensation:

Base Pay Start Rate: $27.50
