Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (100% onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (D.O.E.)
Position Overview
The Operations Team Lead is responsible for supporting and enhancing the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of daily business operations. This role works closely with leadership to implement effective processes, oversee cross-functional activities, and ensure operational excellence across departments including warehouse, logistics, procurement, and customer service. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support management with daily operational coordination while monitoring performance to meet customer expectations and company goals.
- Lead and guide internal teams, including warehouse and procurement, ensuring efficient operations in order fulfillment, inventory management, purchasing, transfers, and receiving.
- Oversee sales order processing, shipment execution, and customer communication regarding order status, shipping timelines, product availability, and issue resolution.
- Identify operational issues, implement timely solutions, and proactively resolve customer concerns such as returns, defects, and credit memos.
- Manage inventory processes including transfers, adjustments, forecasting, system updates, and ensuring alignment with order fulfillment and shipping needs.
- Conduct and oversee cycle counts and physical inventory, reconcile discrepancies, and report results to leadership.
- Coordinate logistics operations including freight quotes, carrier dispatch, container shipments, local deliveries, and verification of freight and shipment billing.
- Maintain strong cross-functional communication with Sales, Logistics, Accounting, and other branches, including managing intercompany transfers and purchase processes.
- Monitor daily shipments and transfers, ensuring timely communication and accurate documentation across all stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in operations, logistics, warehouse, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service or a client-facing role preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience guiding or supervising teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry, inventory tracking, and order processing.
