We’re Wayside Garage , a third-generation family-owned shop that’s been proudly serving the Monterey Peninsula since 1946. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, experienced technician who wants more than just a job—someone who takes pride in their craft and is ready to be part of a high-performing, respected crew.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Diagnose and repair all makes and models with confidence and care.
• Perform inspections, document findings, and recommend repairs.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and teammates.
• Mentor younger techs when needed.
• Stay current on technical bulletins and training opportunities.
• Keep your bay organized and contribute to a clean, safe shop.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of solid professional shop experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills and confidence in tackling most repairs.
• ASE certified—or willing to get there (we pay for it).
• Great communicator and team player.
• A positive attitude, good ethics, and a commitment to doing things right.

Compensation & Perks:

• $33/hour + production bonus.
• Monday–Friday only, 7:30–4:30 (weekends and holidays off!)
• Vacation and paid time off.
• 50% employer-paid health, dental, and vision after 180 days.
