Line Cook
Full job description overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef/Sous Chef and Management team in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the quality of food preparation, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies when necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Skills
- Strong culinary skills with experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Proficient in inventory control and management
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques
Qualifications
-Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
-Must be comfortable commuting to this job's location
-2 years minimum of experience cooking in a restaurant
-Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
-Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
-Ability to read and follow cooking directions
-Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
-Must be organized and self-motivated
-Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materials
▪ Provide a CA Food Handlers card within 30 days of employment
Job Types: Full-time
Pay: 22/hr plus tips
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
