Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
This role will be located at our Santa Clara, California office.
As the Global Marketing Product Manager – Upstream within TMTI, you will be part of the team responsible for shaping the product strategy and future pipeline for mitral and tricuspid valve therapies, from early concept through clinical development and global launch readiness.
This role serves as the voice of the customer and market within the product development lifecycle, translating unmet clinical needs, market insights, and competitive intelligence into clear product requirements. You will partner closely with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Health Economics to ensure that products in development are positioned for strong clinical adoption and long-term commercial success.
The successful candidate is a strategic thinker and product champion with deep understanding of medical devices, structural heart disease, and complex, multi-year development programs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Upstream Product Strategy & Portfolio Planning
- Define product strategy, value propositions, product requirements and design inputs for upstream and pipeline programs within the TMTI portfolio.
- Identify and prioritize unmet clinical needs , growth opportunities, and market segments across global geographies.
- Shape the product roadmap and portfolio evolution , aligning with long-term franchise strategy and business objectives.
- Develop detailed business cases to support investment decisions, pipeline prioritization, and lifecycle management plans .
Customer, Market & Competitive Insights
- Serve as the voice of the customer , incorporating feedback from physicians, key opinion leaders (KOLs), investigators, and clinical advisors into product design.
- Lead global market research initiatives to assess clinical workflows, therapy adoption barriers, and evolving standards of care.
- Monitor competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and procedural trends; translate insights into actionable product and portfolio recommendations.
- Assess reimbursement, health economics, and access considerations early in the development lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Product Development
- Partner with R&D, Engineering, and Regional Marketing teams to translate global and regional market needs into clear, actionable product requirements and design inputs.
- Collaborate with Clinical and Regulatory teams to align product claims, study designs, and evidence-generation strategies with market needs.
- Provide upstream marketing leadership through key development milestones, including concept reviews, design freezes, and clinical trial readiness.
- Influence without authority in a highly matrixed, global organization.
Launch Readiness & Downstream Handoff
- Lead development of early positioning, messaging frameworks, and clinical value stories for products approaching commercialization.
- Ensure seamless transition of product knowledge, strategy, and insights to downstream marketing and regional teams.
- Support pre-launch activities including advisory boards, limited market releases, and early commercial planning.
Thought Leadership & External Engagement
- Build relationships with global KOLs, investigators, and clinical innovators to inform product development and therapy evolution.
- Represent marketing on cross-functional teams and, as appropriate, in external forums, advisory boards, and conferences.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in medical devices , including upstream marketing, product management, R&D-facing roles, or equivalent strategic experience
- Demonstrated experience translating market and customer insights into product requirements
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to manage ambiguity
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed organization
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Experience working on complex, capital or implantable medical devices
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience in structural heart, cardiovascular, or interventional therapies
- Familiarity with clinical trials, regulatory pathways, and evidence-based marketing
- Prior experience supporting products from early development through launch

The base pay for this position is $114,000.00 – $228,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
