Assistant Program Director
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Vocational Nursing Program as an Assistant Program Director. This pivotal role involves supporting the Campus Program Director in overseeing and enhancing all facets of the VN Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the strategic planning, development, management, and evaluation of the VN Program.
- Prepare essential data and documentation for state and Board reports, proposals, self-studies, and site evaluations.
- Identify and secure external resources to enhance the nursing program.
- Evaluate clinical agencies for appropriateness and ensure Facility Approval Applications are in order before rotations commence.
- Ensure faculty complete student theory and clinical evaluations promptly.
- Maintain feedback from students, clinical sites, and faculty after each rotation.
- Support ongoing improvements in program quality and instructional methods.
- Ensure timely completion of clinical assignments, rotation schedules, and calendars.
- Monitor faculty compliance with clinical rotation policies and procedures.
- Continuously review and update student learning materials.
- Maintain accurate student records in accordance with policy.
- Submit necessary program reports and documentation expediently to the Director.
- Stay updated with new technologies and safety regulations relevant to the field.
- Provide advising and planning assistance to prospective students.
- Ensure students fulfill all graduation and state licensing exam requirements.
- Instruct theory or clinical courses approximately 50% of the time.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, valid Registered Nurse license in the state of application.
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including a minimum of 1 year in teaching or clinical supervision in an accredited nursing program within the last 5 years (or 3 years in nursing administration or education within the last 5 years).
- Completed coursework in teaching, curriculum development, and administration from a recognized institution.
