Position Overview: The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a key partner to employees and leadership by supporting a wide range of HR activities including recruiting, HRIS administration, employee relations, benefits coordination, and compliance. This role requires a bilingual professional (English/Spanish) who is
comfortable handling everyday employee matters while also contributing to longer-term HR initiatives. This position offers clear growth potential, with the opportunity to develop into an HR Manager or Director role within the next 5-7 years as the current HR Director transitions toward retirement. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, addressing day-to-day issues such as attendance, punctuality, workplace conduct, and basic policy adherence
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on company policies, procedures, and expectations
- Support corrective action documentation and performance conversations in partnership with leadership
- Assist with investigations and resolution of employee relations issues as needed
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and offers
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and ensure a positive candidate experience
- Coordinate onboarding activities, new hire paperwork, and orientation processes
HRIS & Data Management
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS
- Support reporting related to headcount, turnover, and compliance
- Assist with system updates, audits, and process improvements
Benefits & Compensation Support
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment questions and basic benefits administration
- Support compensation processes including job changes, promotions, and pay adjustments
- Partner with HR leadership on annual reviews, audits, and benefits renewals
Compliance & Policy Support
- Ensure HR practices align with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
- Support training initiatives related to compliance, safety, and workplace standards
- Assist with documentation for audits and regulatory requirements
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams to support people-related needs
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as the company continues to grow. Core Skills & Qualifications
Required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- 2-4+ years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar HR role
- Working knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, and HR administration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working with HRIS platforms
- Experience in manufacturing, agriculture, cannabis, or other regulated industries
- Interest in long-term growth into an HR leadership role
