Bookkeeper

We have partnered with a well-established and growing marine repair and fabrication company in the San Diego area that specializes in ship modernization, structural fabrication, and precision welding services. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team.

About the Role:

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the CFO and operations team to ensure accurate financial records and help streamline day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger
• Prepare and process payroll
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate records for auditing and compliance
• Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues
• Use QuickBooks or similar software for data entry and reporting

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Proficient in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with construction or manufacturing environments preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
