Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) in Templeton, CA. This travel assignment begins 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with a 4x10-hour day shift. Weekly pay ranges from $2,595 to $2,707. The role provides intraoperative support as an RNFA in ortho, ortho totals, gyn, and general surgery within a short-term acute care setting. One night of on-call per week is required. Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant coverage in the OR for ortho, ortho totals, gyn, and general surgery; scrub and circulate as needed
- Maintain sterile technique and instrument counts; anticipate instrument and supply needs for procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team and anesthesia to ensure patient safety and optimal anesthesia management
- Assist with preoperative preparation and postoperative care documentation; participate in debrief and immediate postoperative care
- Uphold OR standards, infection control policies, and safety protocols during all operative cases
- Accept one night of on-call per week as required by the assignment

Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Certification: RNFA (didactic RNFA course) and CNOR
- 3 years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility; 3 years in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Annual surgeon review required
- Current Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) required
- RTO, birthdate, and Social must be provided with profile submission
