Remote Interim Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 484397

A growing and dynamic organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support the finance team during a critical period of growth and process enhancement. This is a fully remote contract opportunity expected to last 6–8 months , with the potential for extension based on business needs.

This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys improving processes, and has strong experience managing the close process within NetSuite . The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial reporting accuracy, and partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Support financial statement preparation and management reporting
• Partner with external auditors and assist with audit requests
• Improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows to support scalability
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership teams on ad hoc projects
• Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff as needed
• Assist with system enhancements and reporting improvements within NetSuite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including management-level responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Advanced experience with NetSuite ERP required
• Experience in a high-growth or rapidly evolving environment preferred
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis

Preferred Experience

• Multi-entity and intercompany accounting
• Audit support and external audit coordination
• Process improvement and system optimization initiatives
• Public accounting background and/or CPA designation
