Description
Our hospitality client in Danville is seeking an interim Accounting Manager for a 3+ month engagement. In this role, you will manage critical financial functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide accurate reporting to support decision-making. This is an immediate contract need requiring onsite work in Danville, California. Pay is expected to be between $70-$75/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial transaction processes, including accounts receivable, billing, accounts payable, and general ledger functions
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations, within established timelines
- Develop and maintain financial tools and schedules to improve reporting accuracy, budgeting, and forecasting
- Implement and oversee financial controls and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting staff, providing guidance and opportunities for growth
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, overseeing the preparation of schedules and compliance with audit requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, business licenses, and other regulatory documents
- Maintain organized financial records and contractual documents to support operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; advanced certifications are a plus
- At least 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, including team leadership
- Background in the hospitality industry is an advantage
- Proficiency with financial management software
- Strong expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and financial statement audits
- Experience with account reconciliation, journal entries, and capital project reporting
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
