Accounting Manager
Lake Forest, CA | Onsite
Our client, a stable and growing international manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join their collaborative finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and partnering across the business.

What You'll Do
- Own the month-end and year-end close process, including financial statement preparation and reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and cash management
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while helping build an efficient, collaborative team
- Manage customer receivables, collections, DSO, aging analysis, and account reconciliations
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Leadership to improve processes and support business initiatives
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
- Support sales and use tax compliance, audit preparation, and external reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiencies
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
- Experience owning the month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Manufacturing, distribution, medical device, consumer products, or other operational accounting experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Sales tax and expense management experience is a plus
