JOB SUMMARY: The Business Development Specialist is responsible for driving growth and expansion for a company. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth, building valuable relationships, and enhancing the organization's market presence. Serving as a vital link between the company and its clients, collaboration with Customer Relations Specialists is essential for the successful implementation of the company's growth strategy. Onsite work is necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex industry.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School Diploma required
- Two or more years of experience in maintaining client relationships.
- Experience in business, sales, or marketing
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Documented sustained success in an outside business development role.
- Supported evidence of consistent client satisfaction and professionalism.
- Strong time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and has staying power.
- Ability and desire to work both independently and in close orientation with all internal leadership and staff members.
- Flexible and able to shift needs with the demands of the business and a willingness to jump in and help at a moment's notice.
- Excellent listening, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, is a requirement with Spanish capabilities as a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and or GSuite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slide)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create proposals and pitches tailored to the needs of potential clients or partners. Present these proposals effectively to win new business.
- Collaborate with Customer Relations Specialists to identify target clients, develop sales strategies, and help close deals. Focus on increasing revenue streams and achieving sales targets.
- Manage inside sales efforts, including lead qualification, nurturing, and conversion. Collaborate with the Customer Relations Specialist team to move leads through the sales funnel effectively.
- Work with the management team to develop long-term growth strategies. Provide insights and recommendations for market expansion, product development, and new business initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate new markets and geographical areas for business expansion. Develop entry strategies and partnerships to penetrate these markets effectively.
- Analyze industry data and competitor strategies to develop effective business development plans.
- Plan and execute strategic yearly client trips, fostering deeper client relationships and loyalty. These trips should align with the company's business goals and client interests.
- Travel to visit clients when necessary to strengthen relationships and understand their needs better.
- Oversee the promoter and referral programs for the company, identifying and nurturing brand advocates and incentivizing referrals to drive business growth.
- Create monthly dashboards for the department, providing insights into business development metrics, performance against targets, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and manage lost business by analyzing reasons for client attrition and implementing strategies to minimize losses. Identify and strategize for opportunities to gain lost business back.
- Work with internal teams to ensure that customers are taken care of to the best of our abilities, providing exceptional service and support.
- Manage client surveys, gather feedback, and analyze the results to gain insights into client satisfaction, preferences, and areas for improvement. Develop action plans to respond effectively to survey findings.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to establish connections, stay updated on industry trends, and provide support for preparation, participation, and follow-up activities.
- Create and maintain department documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and manuals, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
- Assist in the onboarding of new team members, helping them acclimate to their roles and responsibilities within the department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
