Robotic Material Handling Systems Operations Engineer
Join Symbotic as the Engineer who keeps our robotic warehouses humming
Time type: Full time
Schedule: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 5:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.
Travel & onboarding: 10–16 weeks of mandatory travel for training; after training, no travel is expected.
A day (or night) in this role
As the Electromechanical expert in our system control center, you’ll begin each shift by surveying fleet health across automated adapters, vertical lifts, and robotic vehicles. You’ll spot anomalies early, coordinate with cross‑functional partners, and guide the operation back to peak performance. When something goes wrong, you’ll lead root-cause analysis, document findings for engineering, and implement fixes—then translate the technical details into clear updates for site teams and customers. You’ll coach operators on the full ecosystem—automation equipment, WMS, and supporting IT—and step in to backfill key on‑site roles when needed. Above all, you’ll champion continuous improvement and strict safety standards every single shift.
