Travel Registered Nurse Wound Care Job
Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Wound Care to provide specialized care for patients with acute and chronic wounds . This role requires expertise in wound assessment, treatment planning, infection control, and patient education to promote healing and prevent complications.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate wound types, severity, and healing progress
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patient needs
- Perform wound cleaning, debridement, dressing changes, and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT)
- Monitor for signs of infection, delayed healing, or complications and adjust care plans accordingly
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper wound care techniques, hygiene, and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, dietitians, and physical therapists to optimize wound healing
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and progress reports
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and best practices in wound management
- Stay updated on new wound care technologies and treatment methodologies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 2 years of wound care or related nursing experience
- Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) preferred
- Strong knowledge of advanced wound care treatments, infection control, and pressure ulcer prevention
- Experience with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), skin grafts, and diabetic wound care
- Excellent patient education, communication, and critical-thinking skills
