Job Description
In this Co-Op opportunity at Skyworks for Summer 2026 June/July - December , you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in the industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as explore full-time job opportunities at Skyworks. Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Working with experienced engineers to design/develop RFIC for Multi-chip modules
• Designing RF power amplifiers
• Running simulations using design tools such as Keysight ADS and Ansys HFSS
• Participating and presenting in design reviews
• Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
• Trouble-shooting and resolving design or technical issues
• Collaborating with other engineers and technicians
Required Experience and Skills
• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
• Commitment for working on-site for 6 months
• Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
• Strong career interest in power amplifier design and RF/microwave engineering
• Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience with Keysight ADS is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in a lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
• Understanding in HBT technology is a plus
Desired Experience and Skills
- Prior PA design experience for RF/mm-Wave frequencies
- CMOS/SiGe/GaAs/GaN Power amplifier RFIC tape-out experience.
- Proficient in using Keysight ADS for power amplifier simulations like SP/HB/Stability/RxBN simulations
- Previous experience in simulation to measured data correlation
The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
