Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Join our Risk Portfolio Analytics department and play a pivotal role in driving sound credit risk decisions across BILL's financial products. As a Staff Risk Portfolio Data Analyst, you'll leverage advanced analytics to shape portfolio strategy, solve complex problems, and provide actionable insights that ensure the integrity and growth of BILL's risk platform. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen our data-driven culture and become a trusted advisor for high-impact initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to monitor, assess, and optimize portfolio risk for credit and lending products.


• Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, identify risks, and recommend actionable strategies that support business objectives.


• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Risk Strategy teams to drive strategic initiatives.


• Design and maintain dashboards and reporting tools, translating complex results into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Proactively identify emerging risks, anticipate problem areas, and develop contingency plans to mitigate exposure.


• Advise on the adoption of new data sources, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve portfolio analytics capabilities.

We’d love to chat if you have:

• Minimum 6 years of industry experience in risk analytics, data analysis or data science


• Bachelors degree preferably in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or any related technical field


• Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, quantitative modeling, or risk portfolio analysis within financial services.


• Proficiency with analytics tools (such as SQL, Python, or R) and ability to manipulate large data sets to derive actionable insights.


• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of creatively resolving complex business challenges.


• Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, turning technical findings into practical recommendations.


• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to achieve business goals.

The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits.

San Jose pay range

$145,600—$174,700 USD
