Production Assembler - Ontario, CA
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 330pm
Contract to Hire (will be hired in before any travel occurs)
Candidates must be available to travel to San Antonio, TX for 1-2 weeks at a time for training.
Travel, hotel, per diem for food will all be covered by.

Job Description
Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts from them to the required specifications.
Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean.
Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.
Utilize hand tools such as an automatic wire stripper, handheld screwdriver, and/ordrill guns
Maintain inventory of product in workstations
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and report it
Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards as required
Maintain accurate and timely data
Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management
Properly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properly or report it
Able to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issues
Meet standards and tolerances
Other job tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Skills and Experience
2-3 years of experience in assembly or fabrication
Thermoforming experience preferred
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Perform repetitive tasks
Possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together accurately
Understanding MSDS and handling of hazardous materials
Work alone or in a team environment
Regular good attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time
Able to work over time as needed
Education - Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
