Solid Company Culture Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Drafter / Designer with a strong background in Glass, Metal, and Glazing to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for creating detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation of architectural glazing systems including storefronts, curtain walls, doors, and other related products. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with a meticulous eye for detail, who can transform conceptual designs into technical drawings using CAD software. Responsibilities: 1. Generate detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation of glass, metal, and glazing systems using AutoCAD.
2. Collaborate with design team to develop and refine designs.
3. Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
4. Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
5. Create detailed drawings of architectural designs, including plans, sections, and details.
6. Utilize Partner Pass to manage project information and documentation.
7. Collaborate with fabrication team to ensure design accuracy and integrity.
8. Perform quality control checks on drawings and specifications before final submission.
9. Provide technical support to the installation team during the execution phase.
10. Continually update knowledge and skills in line with industry advancements and technologies. Qualifications: 1. 5+ years of experience in drafting/designing in the construction industry, specifically with glass, metal, and glazing systems.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
3. Experience with Partner Pass or equivalent project management software is highly desirable.
4. Knowledge of fabrication processes for storefronts, doors, walls, and other glazing systems.
5. Excellent technical drawing skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong understanding of architectural design and construction principles.
7. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or related field is preferred.
