Now Hiring: Picker Packer / Shipping Associate (1st Shift – Temp Position)

Location:Oxnard CA

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM

Schedule Requirements: Must be open to working overtime and Saturdays as needed

Employment Type: Temporary / Contract

Pay Rate: $16.90 per hour

Position Summary

Our client is seeking dependable Picker Packer / Shipping Associates to support warehouse and shipping operations in a food processing environment. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, this position is responsible for accurately picking, packing, labeling, sorting, and manually lifting boxes to fulfill customer orders while maintaining company standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick products from bulk inventory and segregate orders onto pallets
• Pack, tape, label, and prepare boxes for shipping
• Ensure boxed product is accurate per customer order
• Perform basic visual quality inspections
• Report defective or questionable product to the supervisor in a timely manner
• Place completed product onto pallets and prepare for shipment
• Ensure product is safely stacked and labels are clearly visible
• Use hand tools such as box cutters, tape dispensers, and scan guns
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse areas using cleaning tools as needed
• Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations
• Work cooperatively with team members and perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or state-issued equivalency preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Knowledge or familiarity with:
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Food Safety standards
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Must comply with company GMP requirements

Physical Requirements

• Stand and/or walk up to 90% of the workday
• Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Perform repetitive work under warehouse and industrial conditions
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
