Product Manager, Personalization, TV Experience
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with 283 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
Team
We want to invent entertainment experiences the world can’t live without, connecting people with stories they’ll love. The team is accountable for making the core Netflix experience better every day for over 700M people around the world. Our work spans all platforms (TV/living room, mobile, tablet, and web), and includes experiences and personalization strategy across discovery/browse (shows, movies, live programming, and games), player, identity/profiles, and new surfaces.
Role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join the team. Your focus will be personalization in the core Netflix experience on TV devices that helps members discover what to enjoy next, and features that help members get more out of their Netflix subscription. You will tackle a diverse set of personalization problems — from ranking to overall page quality to cold start — to make discovery easier for members, with a focus on TV / living room devices, where our members spend the majority of time with Netflix. In success, your work will seamlessly blend curation, algorithms, and new technologies to better satisfy our hundreds of millions of customers around the world.
Leveraging available data, you will craft and communicate a strategic roadmap for this product area. In partnership with the industry’s best data scientists, consumer insights researchers, designers, machine learning practitioners, and software engineers, you will set the vision and conceive of ideas that delight members, convert those ideas into well-scoped projects, prioritize smartly among competing efforts, and lead the team to execute at a high level. As a high-leverage thought leader, you will have the ability to shape our thinking on how to evolve our product, and have a massive impact on how members enjoy our service.
Location
This role is based in our Los Gatos office (preferred) in a hybrid model, but we are open to remote candidates on the West Coast, with some travel to Los Gatos required.
