Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Madison, WI 53792 (Wisconsin healthcare job)
• Department: Imaging – Angiography Unit (Interventional Radiology)
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday – Friday (Start times: 7:00am – 8:30am)
• Total Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: As needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2870–$2950
• Parking: Permit required; multiple transportation options available

Qualifications for Interventional Radiologic Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of clinical interventional imaging experience (Interventional Radiology jobs experience required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer
• ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (VI) highly preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Experience with Trauma Level II required; Trauma Level I preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Neuro (stroke) imaging experience preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vascular interventional physicians and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a clinical imaging setting
• Utilize multiple imaging modalities (Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, MRI) for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
• Perform imaging for inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and intra-operative patients, applying advanced critical thinking skills
• Assist with interventional procedures: central venous access, chest tube placement, embolization, paracentesis, thoracentesis, TIPS, and more
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper setup and operation of radiology equipment
• Float to other imaging units as needed to support hospital staffing
• Participate in orientation, competency testing, and telemetry exams
• Maintain accurate patient records using PACS and Epic healthcare systems
• Support inventory management and maintain a safe, organized work environment
