Network Engineer V (Extreme Certified)
Location: Presidio of Monterey, CA
Clearance: Secret
Overview: Senior engineer specializing in Extreme Networks infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, configure, and optimize LAN/WAN environments.
- Troubleshoot major incidents and outages.
- Lead security and performance enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain network inventories and diagrams.
Core Competencies:
- Extreme Networks deployment and management
- LAN/WAN engineering and optimization
- Firewall, VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS expertise
- Mentorship and analytical skills
Requirements:
- Education: BA/BS with 5+ years OR AA/AS with 7+ years.
- Certifications: Extreme Networks Certification, CCNA+ level, IAT II.
- Experience: 10+ years in enterprise networking.
- Technical Screening:
- TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLAN, VPN, MPLS.
- Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco/Aruba/Ruckus wireless.
- VMware NSX and advanced routing protocols.
